Internet-marketing-with-an-e - newsletter

Internet Marketing with an E Newsletter

One very popular Internet marketing strategy is to publish and distribute an e-newsletter on a regular basis. E-newsletters are essentially emails which may contain content, graphics, links and subtle forms of advertising. In general e-newsletters should be informative in nature and useful to the recipient but should also serve some type of marketing purpose as well. This article will examine e-newsletters and explain how they can be used effectively as a marketing strategy.

The first item to consider when attempting using an e-newsletter as a marketing strategy is the distribution list for the e-newsletter. This is very important because you want to ensure you are distributing your e-newsletter to recipients who will be interested in your products and services and will likely view the e-newsletter as worthwhile instead of viewing it as spam. Using deceptive tactics to harvest email addresses and sending out your e-newsletters blindly to a large audience is not a good marketing strategy. This strategy is not worthwhile for a couple of reasons. Most importantly this type of strategy does not help you to reach your target audience. You may reach some members of your target audience by accident but are not likely to reach a large population of this intended audience.

Additionally, sending your e-newsletter unsolicited to a large audience with no interest in your products and services will likely result in your e-newsletter being viewed as spam. This can have more serious consequences than simply being a wasted effort. Specifically, recipients of your e-newsletter may block your email address or even report you to their Internet service provider as a spammer. This can have damaging consequences such as loss of business or even harsher penalties.

A better way to establish a distribution list for your e-newsletter is to set up a forum for interested potential customers to register to receive additional information from you. This could include registering with your website online and requesting to be added to your email distribution list or providing an email address and requesting additional information in some other manner. Sending your e-newsletter to recipients who have specifically requested more information is a good idea because these Internet users are already interested in your products and are likely to appreciate the e-newsletter instead of viewing it as spam.

The content of your e-newsletter should be considered next. This may include the actual copy contained within the e-newsletter as well as graphics, links and advertisements. Keeping direct advertising to a minimum is ideal but it is acceptable to use soft advertising techniques to promote your products or services. The copy in your e-newsletter should insightful information which will be useful to your readers. You may wish to include objective articles, product reviews or shorter articles containing useful tips. Links to your own website or to other websites which might be of use to your target audience can also be included. These links may come in the form of direct advertisements or the links may be embedded in the copy of the e-newsletter when appropriate.

If you plan to utilize an e-newsletter to promote your products or services, you should consider hiring an experienced writer to create the content for your website. This will help to ensure you are providing your readers with top quality content. Likewise if you intend to include graphics you should have a graphic designer assist you to ensure your e-newsletter looks professionally put together.

Riedel it s a family thing

During the Seventeenth Century, Bohemia, in the then Austro-Hungarian Empire, was the glass making capital of Europe. Its seemingly endless forests gave the glass makers all the timber they needed to fire their ovens.

The Riedel story began with Johann Christoph. Born in 1678, he worked as a merchant based in Sudetenland and made a small fortune by exporting the glassware produced in his home region, as far a field as Spain and Portugal. Even though travel at that time was arduous and sometimes dangerous, the money he made more than compensated him for any discomfort he endured.

Johann’s son: Johann Carl made a living in his own glass cutting and gilding workshop. But it wasn’t until the end of the Austrian-Prussian Seven-Year War in 1756 that the Riedel family really began to make their mark.

The region’s property had been devastated during this time and major re-development work ensued. Johann Leopold established the family’s first glass works, which opened for business in 1756 and specialized in making replacement windows. His real claim to fame was that he designed a method whereby damaged stained glass, which would have cost a small fortune to repair, was replaced with ordinary window panes.

As the next generation, in the form of Anton Leopold, took the helm, the company’s operations moved away from window panes and the focus shifted toward ornate glass and chandelier components.

A couple of generation later, and the Riedel glass works relocated to Polaun. By now, firing glass ovens by burning timber was old hat. Coal was both cheaper and more efficient and with Polaun being on the rail-network, deliveries could be made directly to the factory. The rail link also served in despatching the finished products with ease. At this point in its history, Riedel employed some twelve hundred or so workers, producing mainly glass beads and blanks that were then sold on to finishing shops. Marketing was left in the hands of a series of trading companies, exporting the beads as far a field as India and South America.

Due to the beads being marketed in this manner, the Riedel name never appeared on any until 1890 when Josef Riedel The Younger headed the company. Being and excellent chemist and engineer, he transformed the bead manufacturing process by using mechanical cutters and introduced a range of some six hundred colors.

During World War II, the Riedel glass works fell into the hands of the Nazis when they invaded Czechoslovakia. Riedel was forced to abandon the manufacture of luxury goods and, instead, take on the development of “picture tubes” which were an integral part of the German’s radar system. Unfortunately, when the Russians invaded Berlin in 1945, one of these Riedel picture tubes was found and the inventor, Walter Riedel, was imprisoned for ten years and made to work for them.

Whilst Walter was locked away in Russia, the now Communist, Czech government confiscated the Riedel family’s possessions and took charge of, and nationalized, their companies.

On being released from imprisonment in 1955, Walter returned to Austria where family friends, the Swarovskis, funded the opening of a factory, headed by Walter and his son, Claus J. It opened its doors in 1956, specializing in mouth blown glass products.

Claus J. introduced the production of art forms to the factory and started upon the development of the, now, world famous Riedel Stemware. Steering clear of the usual heavy, cut glass, Claus went for thin-blown, long wine glasses and gained much, world wide, admiration from both customers and museums alike.

Today, 11 generations later, Riedel is an international company with Maximillian Josef heading operations in North America and Riedel enjoying unprecedented success.

How to manage duplicate content in your seo

This article will guide you through the main reasons why duplicate content is a bad thing for your site, how to avoid it, and most importantly, how to fix it. What it is important to understand initially, is that the duplicate content that counts against you is your own. What other sites do with your content is often out of your control, just like who links to you for the most part… Keeping that in mind.

How to determine if you have duplicate content.

When your content is duplicated you risk fragmentation of your rank, anchor text dilution, and lots of other negative effects. But how do you tell initially? Use the “value” factor. Ask yourself: Is there additional value to this content? Don’t just reproduce content for no reason. Is this version of the page basically a new one, or just a slight rewrite of the previous? Make sure you are adding unique value. Am I sending the engines a bad signal? They can identify our duplicate content candidates from numerous signals. Similar to ranking, the most popular are identified, and marked.

How to manage duplicate content versions.

Every site could have potential versions of duplicate content. This is fine. The key here is how to manage these. There are legitimate reasons to duplicate content, including: 1) Alternate document formats. When having content that is hosted as HTML, Word, PDF, etc. 2) Legitimate content syndication. The use of RSS feeds and others. 3) The use of common code. CSS, JavaScript, or any boilerplate elements.

In the first case, we may have alternative ways to deliver our content. We need to be able to choose a default format, and disallow the engines from the others, but still allowing the users access. We can do this by adding the proper code to the robots. txt file, and making sure we exclude any urls to these versions on our sitemaps as well. Talking about urls, you should use the nofollow attribute on your site also to get rid of duplicate pages, because other people can still link to them.

As far as the second case, if you have a page that consists of a rendering of an rss feed from another site – and 10 other sites also have pages based on that feed - then this could look like duplicate content to the search engines. So, the bottom line is that you probably are not at risk for duplication, unless a large portion of your site is based on them. And lastly, you should disallow any common code from getting indexed. With your CSS as an external file, make sure that you place it in a separate folder and exclude that folder from being crawled in your robots. txt and do the same for your JavaScript or any other common external code.

Additional notes on duplicate content.

Any URL has the potential to be counted by search engines. Two URLs referring to the same content will look like duplicated, unless you manage them properly. This includes again choosing the default one, and 301 redirecting the other ones to it.

Tips and ideas for making money online

For many people looking to improve their financial situation, running a home business has given them a freedom they never thought would be possible. There is nothing more satisfying then the pride of ownership that comes from being a business owner - not to mention spending more time with family and spending your day doing the things you want, instead of the things you need to do! Unlike most "brick and mortar" pr traditional businesses, It is possible to start an internet business to make money online without having to work long hours or seven days a week. As a home business owner, you make your own hours and schedule. There are no sick days, no having to make an uncomfortable call to the boss, etc. If you need to be home for most of the day, then starting a home business will give you the income you will need and the freedom to work when you want.

Making money online can be done in a variety of ways. The Internet has revolutionized the whole concept of making money. You can sell goods and services through your own web site, you can join an affiliate marketing program - where you become like a "distributor" for the parent company, you can offer your writing, editing, web design, and other creative services to those who need it, or you can find a data entry or customer service program. You can even sell other people's products in what are called "master rights" or "private label rights" programs. No writing skills; business or product-development experience; or business degree are required! One thing that should determine which business opportunity you decide to pursue is the amount of automation provided to you. Remember, this is the Internet! You should be able to leverage your time in the most constructive manner. I hate calling and selling - I think that is an awful way to spend your time. Most of your prospecting time should be on generating traffic through Internet marketing - not cold calling!

Finding out more about what is available will require you to search the internet, ask others who work from home, and begin visiting job boards to see what is available. Also, if you choose the affiliate route, be sure to sign up under a good sponsor - one who is part of a good team with tools, resources and mentoring! You shouldn't have to learn lessons the hard way on your own. Learn from the successes and/or failures of your sponsor and the team. Once you have decided which business to go into, you will have to spend time building a web site and marketing your services. Most good affiliate programs provide you with turnkey websites and other material, but you will eventually want to make your own, more personal site. This will help you build a customer base. After a few months, you will have an internet business that makes good money online.

Once you have started your business, you may want to find other ventures that will make money. This is what is referred to as "multiple streams of income." There are many programs available that will give you commissions for sales that are made through your marketing efforts. You can find numerous opportunities for this type of program. You may also be able to use one business to promote another. I suggest getting some good experience with one business venture before deciding to grow into multiple income streams. This way, the skills you have developed and the lessons you have learned in your first business can help you get off to a good start with your next one.

As you learn more about the internet, you will be able to make connections, see money making opportunities, and you will be able to learn more about what is available. This is a great way to reinvest the money you have earned while maintaining your bottom line. Internet businesses that make money online are those that are continually advertised in different markets - so be sure to diversify your marketing campaigns. By expanding your business or starting another, you will increase your profits and take advantage of everything the internet has to offer. Most importantly, you will be able to attain the pride of business ownership and the lifestyle of your dreams!

Incorporating tips capitalization

Capitalizing a new business entity is a critical step of the formation process. Failing to take the step can lead to serious legal problems if the entity is ever sued. So, what is capitalization and what steps must be taken?

Capitalizing Your Corporation

“Capitalization” essentially refers to funding your corporation. In essence, you are providing substance to the entity in the form of money or property. Typically, the funding process works in two ways.

Corporate Stock

You must own stock in a corporation to be considered a shareholder. You are already familiar with this concept if you trade on the stock market. For instance, assume you bought stock in Sirius Radio in anticipation of Howard Stern moving to the station. You purchased stock through a brokerage or retirement vehicle by exchanging money for shares. Technically, you are a shareholder in the corporation. Your own corporation is no different.

The fact that you paid money to have a corporation formed does not make you a shareholder. You must exchange property, cash or services to obtain stock from the entity. Only then are you a shareholder in the entity. This is more easily explained with an example.

Assume I start a corporation for the purpose of providing consulting services to other businesses. The corporation is formed with 10,000 shares and I am going to be the sole shareholder. I have cash and certain assets that I am going to use as part of the business. I decide to exchange $3,000, a copier, fax machine and computer equipment for stock in the entity. This exchange should be reduced to writing, but will constitute the capitalization of the corporation.

Corporate Loan

You can also loan money to a corporate entity for start-up costs. There is no prohibition against a shareholder providing money to a corporation. The loan process should not completely replace the purchase of stock. From a tax perspective, however, dividing your initial capitalization into a partial loan can have distinct advantages.

Inadequate Capitalization

State laws govern the formation of a corporation. Inevitably, these laws set forth amounts or formulas for determining the minimum capitalization amount required for a corporation. You must review the laws in your state to determine the amount and make sure you meet the contribution minimums.

Failure to properly capitalize you corporation can result in disaster if the entity is ever sued. Simply put, the suing party may argue that the lack of capitalization means the corporation was never a viable entity because it had insufficient funds to back debt obligations. The argument gets complicated, but suffice to say you are in serious trouble if a court agrees with the argument. Typically, the court will “set aside” the corporate entity, exposing each shareholder, director and officer to the risk of personal liability. Obviously, such a scenario would be a disaster.

In Closing

If you’ve purchased a corporation from online service, you have work to do. Make sure you determine the minimum capitalization requirements in your state and comply with them.
